4th of July Parade

AGSA will once again be participating in the Alameda Mayor's 4th of July Parade! On July 3rd, players are invited to help decorate our 2009 Float and then on July 4th, players are encouraged to put on those 2009 AGSA uniforms one more time and ride the float! Meeting times and places are the following:

July 3rd - Float Decorating:
WHERE: 1849 Oak Street
WHEN: 6:00 P.M.

July 4th - Parade Day:
Float #122
WHERE: Between Willow and Walnut (closer to Walnut)
WHEN: Between 9:00 and no later than 9:45 a.m.

All players who participate in the parade need to bring a waiver form with them the morning of the 4th in order to be able to ride on the float. Waivers can be downloaded here. If you have questions, please contact Dottie Nordin for additional information.


Holy Names University Softball Clinics

Holy Names University players and coaches are holding a series of softball clinics over the summer. Clinics will be held for intermediate to advanced players ages 13-17 years old during the week of June 15th - 17th. Two additional clinics will be held from for beginning and intermediate players ages 7-12 in June and July. See the clinic flyer here for additional information.


2009 Spring Season

Congratulations to all the players and teams for a fun and successful 2009 season. All teams had a great showing through playoffs and the championship games and closing ceremonies was a huge success! Check out the game summaries from the final week of play here.

8U All Stars

On June 7th, the AGSA 8U All Stars played a great couple of games, going 2-0 against the OGSL All Star team. In the first game the AGSA All Stars demonstrated outstanding pitching and hitting, winning 8-4. The game was highlighted by a 3 run triple by Allie Cvitanovich to score Casey Chen, April McCarver, and Jemma Thorpe. Jemma Thorpe closed out the game pitching a 1-2-3 5th inning. The 8Us didn't slow down in the second game, and finished off the double header with a 12-6 win! Congrats 8U All Stars!


Dottie Stolze Winners

Congratulations to the 2009 Dottie Stolze winners! This year's winners are: Vivian Biczynski, Julia Boyden, Kayla Chang, Casey Chen, Catalina Dalton, Rowan Esquer, Elizabeth Fraser, Hailey Hayes, Alexandra Hearn, Lauren Hubbs, Rosalyn Luque, Nicole Prislin, Kiara Proctor, Alanna Reyes, Bernadette Steele, Teagan Waterloo, and Emilie Watten.

 


Blaze Updates

Congratulations to the 14U Blaze for going undefeated and taking home the Championship trophy at the Salinas Storm tournament on June 6th and 7th. Check out individual game write-ups from the Blaze's 6-0 weekend here.


The 12U Blaze kicked off the season with a 3rd place finish at the USSSA Memorial Day Weekend Regional Battle. The 12U Blaze went 5-2 on the weekend, with a solid showing by the entire team. You can find game summaries and photos from the games here.
