Financial Update

Sponsorship/Fundraising Update
Brief discussion about two year contract with Shooting Stars. Shooting Stars will do sponsors plaques in wood as decided by the Board.
Kathy (snack bar co-ordinator) suggests a basket or cart to carry snacks around to all fields for more sales during the day.
Darlene requests a dolly to haul snack bar items out of shed for set up.
Communications
Peter Fraser??? Anne gave changes for website to co-worker instead since she hadn't heard from Peter after numerous e-mails to him. Brief discussion about articles in the Alameda Sun paper.
Trophy Update
Dave McCarver (U6 coach) will put together some sample trophies for the Board to choose after he gets his Spring catalogs. Board agreed to go with Dave (a local company) if the price is right.
Snack Bar Update
Lynda requests that everyone count the cash box before returning it to her. Decision made that drinks or snacks can be given to the umpires within reason!
Non Profit Status
Jay will fill out the paper work for the 5013C non-profit status. He will have Sean Rhatigan who is an attorney look it over when he is done.
Schedule Update
Discussion on who should be allowed to make schedule changes in Sportability. March 26, 2007 was the latest practice schedule sent out.
Umpire Update
Ken pleased with two umpires at every game last Saturday, March 31, 2007. Tuesday, April 17, 2007 will be the last umpire training session at Otis School from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. We need clarification on the pitch count in the U8's. Must communicate with Jim Ahrens. Also check on covering plate rule!
Estuary Tournament
Philly sent out an e-mail to the 8U coaches about coaching the 8U’s in the Estuary Tournament.

Bob Orbeta Assistant Coach
12U's = Don Musso Manager
Sharon Perkins Assistant Coach
Possible merge with Oakland for a 14U Tournament team. Oakland has a coach available and a pitcher.
Brief Discussion about "A" ball. 12U's will hopefully play 3 or 4 fall tournament games this year.
Next Board meeting to be held May 1, 2007, at 7:30 after Blaze evaluations at the Otis School multipurpose room. Pizza and soda will be provided.
