As the 2018 season winds down, we want to inform you of an upcoming event for the 6U division players who will be moving up to the 8U division next season (birth year 2011).
The annual 8U Advancing Game will be played May 19th on Krusi Field #2 at 9:00am before the AGSA closing ceremonies. This "game" will simulate the rules of an 8U game so that the players can get an idea of what is to come next year. This tradition was started in 2013 by a 6U coach, Lisa Shannon (who is still coaching with AGSA), who thought it would be fun to give the upcoming 8U players a flavor of what the game and rules will be like as they move up...also, since the 6U division doesn't have playoff games, this gives some girls an additional opportunity to "play" after the regular season ends.
A big thank you to Rick Breslin - the Head Coach of the Little Rubies - who will take the lead on running this game. He will send a follow-up email to get an idea of player participation and he will also need some parent help to manage the game. We really appreciate Rick stepping up to help making this happen and continuing this now annual tradition for AGSA.
